Kurt Herman

Kurt Herman began playing drum set and percussion at the age of 10.  In college, he studied marimba, vibraphone and percussion with Jack Van Geem.  He has shared the stage and/or recorded with Tim Bruneau, Valentina Osinski, Rich Delgrosso, Keith Pray, Jeff Oehling, Dave Barrows, Chris Macchia, Pete Sweeney, Phil Nestor, Vince Leggiere, Tom Charlap, Awan Rashad, Tarik Shah, Ed Wasilewski, Nancy Donnelly, Dan Palladino, Samantha Jane, and Peter Washington.  Kurt is the leader of The Kurt Herman Electric Duo.  The Duo combines cinematic soundscapes with jazz improvisation.  They use an onstage Dolby Atmos sound reinforcement system that uses 8 speakers in a symphonic arrangement. Their original material combines elements of Jazz, New Classical Music, and Electronica.   Kurt uses a Deagan Electravibe and a Malletkat and drummer Dan Palladino uses electronic drums and percussion.
